Prefabricated facade and roof elements are primarily used in the serial renovation of terraced houses and apartment buildings. The expectation is that prefabrication of the thermal insulation envelope will significantly reduce the amount of work and construction time required on site. Studies conducted by the research group (AK61) show that these advantages can be achieved with solid planning and precise measurements. Important prerequisites must be met for this: high airtightness, optimization of thermal bridges, and comprehensive quality assurance, especially in the planning stage. The integration of ventilation units is another aspect that makes serial renovation interesting for multi-story residential buildings. The working group discusses good solutions and makes recommendations for the implementation of serial renovation in accordance with the EnerPHit standard.
